From Duck to Rooster dance:

The rooster dance was written in Sweden within the 1950’s by Werner Thomas. He was impressed by how Swedish skiers seemed like geese flying down the slopes. He named it “Der Ententanz” or “The Duck Dance.” Whereas taking part in his duck dance at native resorts, Werner developed chicken actions to go along with his polka.

From there it traveled to America. Within the 1970’s, the duck dance was re-instrumented including a synthesized chicken sounds and renamed “Tchip, Tchip.” The little chicken dance began to develop in reputation and was featured on the Oktoberfest in Tulsa Oklahoma 1981. A Duck costume was not out there, however a rooster costume was discovered at a TV st5ation, and so they taught the unique actions to the little chicken polka. Choice 2, Do Si Do. Hook proper elbows and skip round your companion, then reverse instructions and hook left elbows. You too can daisy chain across the room this manner going from companion to companion.

Choice 2 polka in place. You may make an ideal line dance by dancing a polka step in place 8 counts, turning proper 8 counts, in place 8 counts, and turning to the left 8 counts.
